BC Women's Hospital: Abortion procedures used

In a booklet entitled: "Information for Families about Termination of an Abnormal Pregnancy" distributed by the British Columbia Women's Hospital and Health Centre Society, patients considering "termination of an abnormal pregnancy" are presented with the following abortion options:

"When the decision has been made to terminate the pregnancy, you will be able to choose the type of termination that you feel would be best for you, as long as there is no medical reasons to the contrary. The two types of procedures available at BC Women's are:

Perhaps the most chilling comment in the BC Women's handout is the follow-up statement regarding the D&E procedure:

"Following the D & E it is not possible to view the baby's body, nor is it usually possible to obtain momentos such as photos or footprints."

This is an important admission. Time and time again the medical community and abortion advocates have insisted that what is "terminated" in an abortion is merely fetal tissue. But as you will discover by the links on this page, there is indeed more to this story than is being admitted.
